Make overs and fresh starts

I've been doing some research lately on how to make my blight castle more efficient and effective. I will continue the research and then make some changes in the near future.
Jazz is also looking to start a blog. It will be about her travels to Europe, fashion, and general teenage girl stuff.
I'm looking forward to a new and exciting bloggy future and I hope you will come along with me.

Jamberry Nails - Lynn Miracola

Ever chip your manicure within days (or even hours)....with Jamberry you don't have to worry about that.  Jamberry is a revolutionary way to make your manicure last!  Nail wraps go on easy and last for about 10 days to 2 weeks.

To be a consultant there is a $99 sign on fee.  This includes catalogs, brochures, order forms, sample cards, a mini heater, 3 months of web hosting and much more. You earn a 30% discount on purchases as well as 30% commission on sales.  The requirement to stay active is 600PV every 12 months. (easy peasy, right?)  Carrying inventory is an option but not required.

Hostesses get 1 free sheet wrap with a $100 party.  As your party sales go up, you can earn hostess credit, half price items, and a discount on your order.  You can also use party credits to purchase your kit.  Jamberry offers the option of home, catalog or online parties, as well as fundraising.

Customers can buy three wraps and get one free (I have done this and my wraps were all super cute)

I wish I still had the pix from all the Jams we have tried, but I don't.  Application is a little bit of a learning process but it's fun to try new wraps and have pretty nails without having to pay salon prices.

If you need new jams or just want to see what cool options are available, click here

Tell Lynn I sent you and enjoy your Jams!

Jewelry In Candles

e-gift cards
Today’s business review is Jewelry in Candles.
For three days only you can sign up for $1!!  That's a great investment for your future!!

The name is kind of self explainatory…you get a candle and there is jewelry in it J  I always wondered how this worked- what if I get a ring that doesn’t fit?  what if I order lots of candles and don’t need lots of rings?  Mystery solved.  You get to pick from rings, earrings or necklaces!!  So cool.  There are candles or tarts (melts).  The candles burn for about 150 hours and the tarts for 100 hours.  This is fantastic!  I’ve had candles that don’t smell much and burn out in a few days.

There are several kits to choose from starting at $29.95.  Then you make 30% commission and get a 30% discount.  You can earn a higher commission if you add to your team.

Parties can be in home, online, catalog parties, or just online selling.  Lots of options to grow and promote your business.  There are weekly training calls to help you stay on track and get new ideas.  There are also new candle scents offered weekly.

Love jewelry?  Love candles?  Check this business out.  As a customer or a consultant I’d say it’s a win!

Perfectly Posh

ok, last one for today....but haven't they all been wonderful!!

Home I have to admit, I've been checking out this stuff for awhile.  It looks totally awesome!!

Perfectly Posh sells great smelling bath and body items.  All items are made in the USA, are cruelty free and are affordable (nothing is over $25!)

The start up cost is $99 and you get to pick one of two kits.  I checked them out, they both look like great options.  The value of the kit is $270 so you are already ahead of the game :-)  There is free training included.

When you sell you get 20-25% commission and the opportunity to earn tools and points to help build your business.  The best thing - weekly commission!!  work that business on your schedule and get a regular pay check.  How awesome is that??

As a hostess you get half price items and hostess credit with at least $100 in sales.  Parties can be home, online or portable (my favorite!).  With so many options there is no reason not to have a party.

check out my new friend's business here.  Tell her I sent you!

disclaimer:  I will be getting samples from another consultant so I will review the actual product when it comes.

Lilla Rose

Could this stuff get any cuter!!  Lilla Rose is a company that offers unique and durable hair accessories.  I'm kind of in love.  They offer hairbands, flexiclips, bobby pins, hair sticks and badge clips.  They are all sparkly and fancy- just up my alley.

Here is the background on the company.

The start up cost is $49.95 or $99.95.  You get catalogs, order forms, business cards and more in each kit.  The cost includes a free website, e-store and back office.  There are no minimum purchase requirements, and the minimum to stay active is $29 per YEAR.  easy peasy.  The starting discount/commission is 30% and goes up if you grow your team.

Hostess credit starts at $100 in sales = a half price item and special gift.  The levels increase with sales.

Never heard of it?  check it out at sweetaccents

The Rustic Shop

The Rustic Shop

So, I am doing a series of direct selling reviews.  Today's review is for The Rustic Shop.

They sell jewelry, clothing, and home accessories with a rustic/country vibe.  Awesome items at reasonable prices.  After looking over the website, I found tons of stuff I would love to have for the house and for personal use. (they have great sparkly shirts!!)

Right now it is only $1 to sign up!  It is their one year anniversary.  The normal sign up is $25.

As a consultant you get a 30% commission on sales as well as a 30% discount on personal purchases.  They don't have a home party plan, but you can create your own hostess benefits if you want to do parties.  There is no inventory requirements, but you can purchase items for doing home parties or vendor shows.

There are no sales quotas (just sign into the back office once every 90 to stay active), no fees, no kit, and a free website.  The commission pay out is twice a month.

 Here's a link to the FAQ's.

Definitely a great opportunity!

Staying Busy...

Its been busy around the castle lately but not a lot going on.  I have been contemplating going back to school, how to grow my Thirty One business, continuing education at work, how are we going to afford a car for Jazz, how to pay off bills and credit cards...is your head spinning yet??

I'm also starting a little side project that could benefit many.  I will be doing regular company reviews.  I have many great companies/consultants who want to share their wonderful products with you.  I will shoot for a review a week but there are so many great companies, there may be multiple.  If you are looking for a way to make extra money, stay tuned to this blog for great ideas!!

And finally, if anybody out there is really good with creating planning pages, let me know.  I have a rough map out of what I want my next planner to be (because you all know I have a planner addiction) but I can't figure out how to make it all come together!

See you soon,

what's going on???

I've already blown my idea of taking a picture on the same day each month....oops.  Otherwise lots of fun stuff going on in the castle.
-Jazz is trying out for dance team this week.  I can hardly believe that we are planning for Junior year.
-after being off work for 7 weeks after my surgery, I came back and right away have starting working as a charge nurse.  Some days I love it.  Some days not so much.  But I love getting more experience with different aspects of nursing.
-speaking of that.  I start precepting  next week.  :-)
-working on 3 certifications for work this year.  Should be interesting.  Pain management, Hospice and palliative care, and med surg
-Jazz has also started driving.  that's an interesting topic.  at least I already went through it with Lyric.  And Jazz is a pretty good drive.
-I working on some fun, recurring type topics for the blog.  Hopefully that will actually turn into something over the next few weeks.
